John West
Dr. John West is Vice President of the Seattle-based Discovery Institute, where he also serves as Managing Director of the Institute’s Center for Science & Culture. He previously served as an Associate Professor of Political Science and chaired the Department of Political Science and Geography at Seattle Pacific University. His books include Darwin Day in America: How Our Politics and Culture Have Been Dehumanized in the Name of Science, The Magician’s Twin: C.S. Lewis on Science, Scientism, and Society, Walt Disney and Live Action, and The Politics of Revelation and Reason. West is also a filmmaker, and his award-winning documentaries include Human Zoos: America’s Forgotten History of Scientific Racism and The Biology of the Second Reich. He has been interviewed by TIME, Newsweek, USA Today, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, and he has appeared on CNN, Fox News, and C-SPAN. He holds a Ph.D. in Government from Claremont Graduate University.
