Join us for Socrates in the Studio on September 30th at 12 pm at the Union League Club, where we’ll be filming a thought-provoking interview with renowned guest, Paul Kingsnorth and SITC Host Eric Metaxas.

The live filming of this interview is open to our Patrons, and attendance grants you access to the interview, filmed in an intimate setting—this interview won’t be live-streamed, offering you a rare chance to be part of an exclusive in-person experience.

At noon, author Paul Kingsnorth will discuss his latest book, Against the Machine: On the Unmaking of Humanity, which Iain McGilchrist discribed as ‘This is the most powerful and important book I have read in years. It is simply brilliant.’

Paul Kingsnorth is the author of Savage Gods, Confessions of a Recovering Environmentalist, Beast, and The Wake, which was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize, as well as additional works of non-fiction and poetry. His journalism has appeared in The Guardian, Independent, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, Le Monde Internationale, New Statesman, Orion, The London Review of Books, and elsewhere. He is co-founder of the Dark Mountain Project, a global network of writers, artists, and thinkers in search of new stories for a world on the brink. He lives with his family in Ireland.
