Join us for a landmark evening in Washington, D.C. on May 6th as we gather at the historic Willard Hotel for a special Socrates in the City panel event exploring one of the most urgent and timely questions of our day: What does Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s legacy mean for Christians today—and what is the Christian response to antisemitism?
The evening will feature a live Socrates in the City panel moderated by host Eric Metaxas, with a distinguished group of voices bringing insight, conviction, and cultural clarity to a conversation that could not be more relevant. Panelists include Dr. Ben Carson, Megan Basham, and Andrew Kolvet, who will discuss the acclaimed Bonhoeffer film, the enduring legacy of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and the Christian community’s call to stand against antisemitism in our time.
Bonhoeffer’s story—one of moral courage, costly faithfulness, and ultimate sacrifice—continues to challenge and inspire. As antisemitism rises around the world, his example raises pressing questions for believers today: What does it mean to stand for truth when it is dangerous to do so? How should Christians respond to hatred directed at the Jewish people? And what can the Church learn from those who got it right—and those who did not—in one of history’s darkest hours?
The Willard Hotel, one of Washington’s most storied venues and long a gathering place for leaders, thinkers, and people of consequence, provides the perfect setting for this important evening.
The program will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by a cocktail reception.
General Admission – $95 Admission to the Socrates in the City panel conversation with Eric Metaxas and panelists Dr. Ben Carson, Megan Basham, and Andrew Kolvet. Includes theater-style seating for the main program and access to the post-event cocktail reception.
