Event Details
Join us in New York City on January 27th at 7:00 PM for a special screening event at the Tribeca Screening Room, as Socrates in the City presents the premiere of Is Atheism Dead?
This exclusive evening will feature the first episode of Is Atheism Dead?, a new series hosted by Eric Metaxas that takes on one of the most consequential questions of our time. Through thoughtful conversation, intellectual rigor, and the classic Socratic spirit, the series explores whether the modern claim that God is obsolete can truly stand up to reason, science, and history.
Following the screening, guests will be invited to stay for a live Q&A with Eric Metaxas and director Seth Ward, continuing the conversation in an intimate setting.
Socrates Patrons receive complimentary admission, and members of the Socrates in the City Book Club will receive priority registration. Space is limited.
Is Atheism Dead? is a streaming series examining the long-held assumption that science inevitably leads away from God—and why that assumption is no longer tenable. Perhaps the most honest response to today’s evidence is a renewed openness to transcendent truth.
The goal of the series is not to tell viewers what to believe, but to invite them to ask better questions—and to realize that belief in God is not a retreat from reason, but may in fact be its fulfillment.
