Michael Ward

DR. MICHAEL WARD is the chaplain of Peterhouse College, Cambridge University and the author of the ground-breaking Planet Narnia: the Seven Heavens in the Imagination of C.S. Lewis. Between 1996 and 1999 Ward lived and worked at the Kilns, C.S. Lewis's Oxford home. Before the publication of Planet Narnia, his chief claim to fame was that he handed 007 a pair of X-ray spectacles in the James Bond movie, The World Is Not Enough. He is a graduate of Oxford, and has tutored and lectured at Oxford, Stanford, William and Mary, and Wheaton. Walter Hooper, who was C.S. Lewis's personal secretary during his final months, and who is the literary Adviser to the Lewis Estate, has said: "I cannot contain my admiration. No other book on Lewis has ever shown such comprehensive knowledge of his works and such depth of insight. This will make Michael Ward's name."
