Scot Sherman is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (M.Div.), Princeton Theological Seminary (Th.M), and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Wales. Scot served on the staff of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, and was the organizing pastor of The Village Church in Greenwich Village. He was Senior Pastor of the Intown Community Church in Atlanta prior to coming to City Church. Scot is married to Catherine. They met and married in New York City in 1991 and have four sons, John, Benjamin, James, and David. He currently serves as the teacher pastor at City Church of San Francisco and founded and hosts the Open Forum events there. His guests have included N.T. Wright and Alister McGrath.
